This Indenture made this 28th day of April in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Thirty Six between Willis Gunter of the County of Chatham and State of North Carolina of the one part & John W. Gunter of the County & State aforesaid of the other part Willng forth that the said Willis Gunter for in consideration of the sum of fifty Dollars to him in land paid by the said John W Gunter the receipt whereof is him by acknowledged and himself them with, fully satisfied hath given granted bargained, sold, & conveyed, and by these presents doth fully, clearly, absolutely give, grant, bargain & sell & convey to him the said John W Gunter his Hires & assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of land being in the County & State aforesaid lying on the waters of Stinking Creek bounded as follows beginning at a small persimmon tree in Riggsbys line, Davies spring branch and running down said Branch as it meanders about fourteen poles to Brights spring branch, thence down said branch as it meanders so as to include half of a spring on the west side of said branch to a hickory in the fork of another spring of said branch thence up said branch as it meanders but on a direct line about One Hundred & Fifty poles to the first station containing Fifty acres.
